Job Description

Our center qualifies for the cares 3.0 stipend program And is now in the GREEN TIER, teacher retention pay. (stipend amount depends on number of ECE units and education)
Hours:
9AM-5:30PM About us Baby Prodigy Nursery started in an in-home daycare and finally expanding to a center. We are a play based infant center. We strive to provide high quality care to our families.
Qualifications:
AA Degree in ECE/CD or AA Degree in Social Science w/24 ECE/CD units (minimum odf 24 ECE units) 2 years of Teaching Experience 3 Infant/toddler units required and 3 infant/toddler units to be completed withing first 6 months of hire Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a plus COVID vaccination required
Lead Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children, including daily open-ended activities to expand their competencies across developmental domains Maintain appropriate teacher - child ratios, ensuring visual supervision of children at all times Develop and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and culturally relevant classroom environment for all children and families Develop an infant services and needs plan at enrollment and review quarterly Maintain regular and timely communication with program staff Ensure documentation of all significant contacts with families and maintain up-to-date file records including attendance, emergency contact information, family contact, education data, and file log for your classroom Accurately and promptly complete formal observations, ongoing screening, and assessments of children in your primary care according to the service area timeline Oversee formal observations, ongoing screening, and assessments for your classroom Develop and maintain portfolios that document the unique strengths, skills, and areas of growth for the children in your primary care on a regular basis Review portfolios for your classroom to ensure they are completed to accurately document children's strengths, skills, and areas of growth Maintain ongoing, open communication with families and conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits for children in your primary care Maintain appropriate active supervision of children in your care at all times Provide guidance and support for Associate Teachers in conducting parent-teacher conferences and home visits, ensuring program requirements are met for your classroom Conduct regular classroom monitoring, using formal tools to evaluate the environment and child-teacher interactions Implement and follow-up on action plans for ongoing program improvement Review child assessment data and understand school readiness goals to adapt the classroom environment and lesson plans to increase skill-building opportunities for children in your classroom Provide professional feedback to Associate Teachers and volunteers for ongoing reflection and development of teaching skills Participate in the referral process for children with suspected disabilities, as needed
