In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm for early education will help children develop essential literacy, math, and motor skills while fostering a love for learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives during their formative years through dynamic lesson planning, compassionate guidance, and effective classroom management. This position would be for 2 to 3 times a week and possibly more days/hours as a substitute could be needed for your team members. Duties Creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, numbers, gross and fine motor skills to support childhood development with attention to their learning styles. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment by applying behavior management techniques and promoting positive social interactions among children. Conduct classroom activities that develop language skills, fine and gross motor skills, and cognitive abilities aligned with early childhood education standards. Monitor individual progress through assessments to tailor and support each child's growth effectively. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress updates regularly. Maintain organized classroom records, including lesson plans, attendance logs, and child welfare documentation, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and special education accommodations. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with toddler care practices and childcare regulations to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.50 per hour
