Location:
South San Jose, CA Hours:
School operates 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Full-Time Role)
Setting:
Infant through Kindergarten About Us We are a well-established, long-running school in South San Jose dedicated to providing a nurturing, high-quality early childhood education experience. Serving families with children from infancy through Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on being a foundational pillar in our community. We are looking for a dedicated, present, and hardworking leader to guide our campus, support our teachers, and foster strong connections with our families. The Role Whether you are a seasoned, experienced Director looking for a long-term home, or a highly experienced Lead Teacher ready to take the next step into administration, we want to hear from you! We are fully prepared to provide the mentorship, resources, and support necessary to help the right candidate obtain any required state permits or credentials. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, remains highly visible and accessible on campus, and possesses a deep, genuine compassion for young children and their families.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring a safe, smooth, and welcoming environment during operating hours (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM).
Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide, inspire, and support our teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
Family & Community Engagement:
Maintain an open-door policy, building strong, trusting relationships with parents and families.
Compliance & Administration:
Ensure licensing compliance, manage student enrollment, and oversee school programming.
Adaptability:
Bring a flexible, problem-solving mindset to the daily triumphs and challenges of early childhood education.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience as a Preschool Director OR extensive experience as an early childhood teacher with demonstrated administrative or leadership responsibilities.
Education:
Units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development required.
Permits:
California Child Development Director Permit (or Site Supervisor Permit) is a major plus, but we are willing to support the right candidate in obtaining these permits.
Core Attributes:
Exceptional work ethic, high flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a deeply compassionate approach to early childhood care.
Compliance:
Ability to pass a criminal background check/fingerprinting, and fulfill standard state health requirements (TB test, immunizations). What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
