Preschool Teacher

Wonder Steps Preschool is seeking a full-time, qualified, experienced, energetic and organized Preschool Teacher for children aged 2-5 yrs. Qualifications needed to teach include knowledge of best practices in Preschool educational methods, the ability to engage them, and earn their trust and attention, to contribute to the healthy social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development of the child.

Qualification:

Minimum 12 core semester Units in early childhood education Minimum 6 months of preschool teacher experience working in a licensed child care center Have a criminal and fingerprint background clearance Pass a pre-employment physical and T.B test CPR certification (preferred)

Responsibilities:

Prepare and apply curriculum that is age appropriate Develop and Apply a verity of educational techniques (circle time, storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children Prepare activities for children based on Monthly theme Understand and follow regulations of local child care licensing and the center Interact well with a team of teachers Communicate with parents on child's growth and progress Maintain confidentiality in regards to all children and staff personal information Supervised children during indoor and outdoor activities at all time Maintain the health and safety of all the children Snack prep Changing Diapers if needed
