MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of work experience in hospitality or administrative services and experience providing childcare to children Good knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, and other software as required. Requires the ability to independently use a computer and learn necessary computer programs. Preference will be given to applicants with an AA degree and Education in Early Childhood, but all applicants with the above qualifications are encouraged to apply. Good organizational skills and flexibility required. Strong communication skills (i.e., speaking and writing) Bilingual in Spanish to meet the client's needs Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record under the Clinics' liability policy. May be required to obtain a Class II California driver's license. Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/LiveScan and DMV clearances.
JOB PURPOSE
The Child Care Worker/Receptionist serves as the first point of contact with visitors and clients and provides child care services to children of parents attending sessions. The Child Care Worker/ Receptionist will utilize developmentally appropriate activities for the children and ensure the safety of the children during the scheduled appointments. Additionally, this position provides assistance to individuals by responding to routine questions, providing general information, answering the main phone line, entering appointments, managing electronic calendars, and performing general clerical duties such as data entry, typing and faxing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Child Care 1. Supervise children and engage with them in developmentally/age appropriate activities while parent/legal guardian is in a therapy/group session with C&FC direct care staff, ensuring that the children are supervised at all times and never left unattended. 2. Inform designated supervisor immediately if child abuse or neglect is suspected or if there is a noticeable change in a child's mood or behavior. 3. Complete and maintain department data logs, sign-in sheets, cleaning schedule logs and other additional administrative tasks as assigned. 4. Maintain a safe and healthy environment per department's cleaning schedule, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for keeping the reception and childcare areas clean and organized. 5. Performs other child card duties as assigned. Receptionist 1. Welcome and greet all clients and visitors. 2. Respond to client, visitors and staff inquiries in a courteous manner providing exceptional customer service. 3. Maintain security by monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges. 4. Answer telephones and direct calls to the appropriate employee while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper phone etiquette. 5. Facilitate client flow by notifying therapists of client's arrival, being aware of delays/cancellations and communicating with client/clinical staff; schedule client appointments and conduct follow up reminder calls. 6. Alert Crisis team of possible crisis situation. 7. Provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Complete and maintain department data logs, sign-in sheets, cleaning schedule logs and other additional administrative tasks as assigned. 8. Responsible for keeping the reception areas clean and organized. 9. Provide interpretation support as needed for phone calls and sessions. 10. Performs other reception duties as assigned.
