Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about infant care and development, creates a warm and responsive environment, and is committed to building strong relationships with children and families. The Infant Lead Teacher will oversee the daily operations of the infant classroom, implement developmentally appropriate activities, maintain a safe and clean environment, and ensure compliance with California licensing regulations. Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily infant classroom program Provide attentive and responsive care to infants ages 0-24 months Create and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones Maintain consistent feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care routines Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Observe and document children's growth, behavior, and developmental progress Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding daily activities and milestones Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the classroom Follow all California licensing regulations and health/safety procedures Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Minimum 15 ECE units required, including infant/toddler coursework Previous infant classroom experience required Lead teacher or supervisory experience preferred Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Ability to pass background clearance and fingerprinting requirements Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Patient, caring, and dependable attitude Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit on the floor, bend, stoop, and carry infants safely Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Schedule Full-time / Part-time available Monday through
Friday Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
