$40.00 - $80.00 per hour
Schedule:
2x per week, late morning preferred (2-3 total hours per week)
Work Location:
In-person (student's home) Position Overview Thrive Education Partners is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced early childhood educator to support a young learner in Spring Valley, CA. This role is centered on kindergarten readiness, foundational skill-building, and enrichment through play-based, developmentally appropriate instruction. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of early childhood development and can thoughtfully balance structure with creativity—helping the student build early literacy, numeracy, and confidence in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging sessions focused on early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness Support development of foundational academic and social-emotional skills Incorporate enrichment activities such as art, sensory play, and hands-on exploration Tailor instruction to the student's developmental stage, interests, and learning style Foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning Communicate regularly with parents and the Thrive team regarding progress and goals Maintain a consistent, positive, and structured learning environment Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education, preschool teaching, or tutoring Strong understanding of early childhood development (ages 3-6) Experience supporting kindergarten readiness and foundational skill-building Ability to create engaging, structured, yet playful learning experiences Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to the student's home
