The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with infants, and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes growth, learning, and social-emotional development in infants. The teacher will collaborate with families and team members to support each child's individual needs and foster a love of learning from the earliest stages. Responsibilities Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment adhering to health and safety standards Engage with children through play, music, storytelling, and other educational activities Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and needs Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and share best practices in early childhood education Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and company policies related to childcare Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in infant care and early childhood education Qualifications Must have either 12 Semester of 18 Quarter units of Early Childhood Education classes, including Infant and Toddler development. Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as Special Education or Childcare credentials are a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Compassionate caregiver with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for early childhood teaching Ability to work full-time hours in a nurturing environment dedicated to infant care
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
