Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to help us in our preschool class in summer . In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. This position is available from June 8th to August 15th 2026. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social development aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support individual learning plans and ensure consistent communication about child welfare and development. Manage classroom routines efficiently to promote smooth transitions and maintain discipline through effective classroom management techniques. Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences for toddlers and preschoolers. Support children's emotional well-being by fostering social skills, behavior management, and positive interactions within the classroom setting. Skills and qualifications Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Minimum of 15 ECE units. Proficiency in working with children with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments. Ability to implement teaching strategies across various subjects such as literacy education, math (including Montessori methods), physical education, and childcare fundamentals. Demonstrated experience in toddler care, daycare settings, or private preschool environments. Knowledge of behavior management techniques that promote positive reinforcement and emotional regulation. $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
