Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare facility, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive. Duties Assist in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational programs and activities. Engage with children through play, arts and crafts, and educational games to foster their development. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance in accordance with behavior management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Assist with infant care, including feeding, diaper changes, and nap time supervision. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare settings such as babysitting, nannying, or working in preschools is preferred. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A genuine love for working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and needs within the daycare environment.
