Preschool/ Toddler Teacher Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated Preschool Teacher and make a difference in the lives of young learners. We are hiring preschool and toddler teachers and aids! As part of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.
BASIC FUNCTION
Teachers are responsible for the management of their classrooms with the oversight of the Director. Teachers are expected to meet the needs of the children in their care and stay in communication with caregivers, as well as the Director. This is full-time position.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to promote the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of preschool-aged children with guidance from the Director.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages children to explore and discover new concepts.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, guardians, and colleagues to support the overall well-being of the children.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed, to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Attend once a month staff meeting.
- Other duties as requested.
Requirements:
- 12 ECE units, including core courses, prefer AA in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Must be CPR certified or be willing to obtain within 30 days.
- Mandated reporter certified.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, including math and literacy education.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies and toddler care techniques.
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Passion for child welfare and commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, roll, or tug up to 50lbs.
