In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, implementing age-appropriate activities, and supporting the developmental needs of children in early childhood education settings. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the educational journey of preschool and toddler-aged children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every day. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschool and toddler age groups, incorporating oral language development, literacy, math, science, music and movement. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children's social-emotional well-being. Provide attentive toddler care by supervising daily activities, ensuring safety, and supporting routines such as potty training, diapering, assistance with feeding and nap times. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning space conducive to exploration and learning. Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, concerns, and support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, early intervention strategies, special education accommodations, and inclusive teaching practices. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, early childhood education standards, and childcare best practices. Qualifications Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or toddler settings is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, and classroom management practices. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, collaborate with parents, colleagues, and the community. Current Certification in First Aid & CPR (pediatrics) Current Mandated Reporter Training Certificate Certification or training in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
