Job Description

Lead Infant Teacher (Ages 0-18 Months)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join one of our infant classrooms. Montessori-trained candidates will be given priority. In this role, you will plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each infant, in alignment with the Montessori approach to teaching and learning.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure the overall supervision, safety, and daily care of a group of infants Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, Montessori-inspired activities Assess and document each child's developmental progress on an ongoing basis Maintain compliance with all policies, as well as local, state, and national licensing regulations Create and maintain an organized, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with the Leadership Team to plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations Provide consistent, positive guidance and support to children Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, shared spaces, and playground areas Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and school events Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Director or designee
Qualifications:
Montessori certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain Candidates must hold an Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS) qualification or be willing to obtain the
EQIT PDIS
certification. The cost of certification will be reimbursed by the school upon successful completion. Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting Strong understanding of infant development Must pass Colorado background check and TRAILS screening prior to employment Ability to follow and implement school policies and state licensing regulations Flexibility with work schedule and classroom assignments Strong communication and teamwork skills Genuine passion for and respect for young children
