BVSD Summary:
The Preschool Enrichment Classroom Staff provides support to the Preschool Enrichment Classroom Lead and Preschool Enrichment Classroom Assistant in delivering a developmentally appropriate program aligned with Colorado Department of Early Childhood regulations. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, providing staff breaks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supporting meal routines, and preparing learning materials. The works collaboratively to foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere that promotes children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of a developmentally appropriate child care program. Support daily operations, ensuring child safety, promoting positive behavior, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing support with meals and staff coverage. Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures. Attend training, workshops, and professional development opportunities to support continuous learning and remain in compliance with all training requirements set by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood. Communicate clearly and constructively with colleagues and supervisors regarding student needs, progress, and challenges. Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining confidentiality, ethical conduct, and fostering positive working relationships with school staff. Utilize computer systems and software applications to complete essential tasks, including attendance tracking, required trainings, and submitting timesheets. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must meet or exceed the education and experience requirements for Staff Aide as established by the Colorado Department of Human Services (Rule 7.702.44D as of 1/17/19). Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist children in toileting along with delegated health care duties. Minimum of one year experience in Preschool Child Care. Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
