Teacher workdays begin in August, with Home Visits scheduled in the beginning of August. Our school closely follows the Adams 12 School District calendar. Tuesday/Thursday 3 year old teacher- approximately 10 hours/week Teaching hours are 8:30am-12:30-pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Two additional paid hours per week for planning time on Thursdays Two additional hours per month for staff meetings (Thursdays) Additional hours and pay for teacher set-up days, home visits, and extra duty pay. Fridays off! What You'll Do Lead Preschool teachers should demonstrate a sincere interest in young children and concern for their well-being, have knowledge of how young children learn, demonstrate a warm and nurturing personality, and be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others. They are responsible for supervising a single group of three-year-old children according to our low ratio of 1:7, guiding their development in a positive, nurturing environment. It is imperative that our teachers work in cooperation with one another, supporting children's emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs, and fostering positive relationships with colleagues and families. Teachers will implement developmentally-appropriate lesson plans utilizing Creative Curriculum and the Early Learning and Development Guidelines. Requirements Must meet the requirements for the Early Childhood Teacher Qualifications as specified by the Colorado Department of Human Services Must have or be able to obtain a level 2 or higher in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) Must pass the CBI, FBI, and Trails background checks Must meet health qualifications as required by the state Must be able to sit, kneel, bend, squat or crawl, take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, and talk to and hear voices at many levels. Must be able to lift/move furniture, supplies, materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Work with our collaborative teachers who are dedicated to supporting one another, learning and growing together. Possess strong interpersonal, relational, and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task. Experience with the ERS tool and Colorado Shines, including PDIS.
