Preschool Teacher

Ivybrook Academy (Castle Rock location) is currently seeking passionate preschool educators (minimum 3 years of Lead Teacher experience) for our school campus children ages 3-5 years old. Our schools provide a professional environment where educators can focus their time on igniting the joy of learning in their students. We are seeking passionate educators committed to progressive quality education.

Student :

Teacher ratios significantly lower than what state licensing allows Extensive (approximately 18 total weeks) of paid time off including no afternoon classes on Fridays. No classes during the same five weeks that Douglas County School District takes (October (1), November (1), Dec/Jan (2), spring (1) and summer (3) breaks, holidays, and half days during our six weeks of summer camps Incredibly low turnover / attrition ... only four lead teachers have left the Castle Rock Ivybrook location in six years of operation due to the excellent work environment and staff support. Salaried position School year closely follows the Douglas County School District school calendar Beautiful work environment 8:00 - 4:30 normal work hours (full time)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily lessons for the children following a progressive approach to education
• Observe and evaluate each child's progress
• Work cooperatively and professionally with staff members and parents
• Maintain communication with parents
• Be available for parent conferences
• Attend staff meetings, training and school functions
• Maintain portfolio assessments for all children in the classroom

Job Requirements:

Priority given to those with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or have their education degree within the first year of employment. Previous experience at a public, private or licensed school preferred.
