Job Description

Embark on an exciting new career with Little Peaks Learning Center. We offer competitive pay and a family-like atmosphere with excellent PTO. Little Peaks Learning Center will open mid-August 2026. We are a small family-owned daycare center. We are looking for a full time early childhood education teacher. Lead teacher qualifications are required, however, we do offer support, training, and continued professional development inhouse. We are looking for someone that has a passion for working with children (ages 6wks-5 years). Our early childhood teachers are responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include infants, toddlers and/or preschool age children; develops partnerships with parents/child's caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in our program. Teachers are expected to care for each child, interact and build relationships, play and have fun with them, clean and organize classrooms.
Duties:
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs based on universal STEM guidelines.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, and potty training as needed
  • Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns with management
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and development of each child
  • Maintain a clean and organized childcare area
Skills:
  • Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment
  • Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
  • Caregiving:
    Experience in providing physical care and emotional support to children
  • First aid: Certification in basic first aid procedures for handling minor injuries or emergencies
  • Behavior management: Ability to handle challenging behaviors and promote positive discipline techniques
  • Toddler care: Understanding of the unique needs and developmental milestones of toddlers
  • Childhood development: Familiarity with the stages of cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children
  • Special education: Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with special needs or learning differences If you are passionate about working with children and have the necessary skills and qualifications, we invite you to join our team as a Childcare Provider.
Requirements:
  • 2 yrs of experience as Lead Teacher
  • PDIS level 3 or higher
  • Coursework and licensing requirements to be complete prior to employment.
