Job Description

We are seeking a Childcare Worker to join a licensed childcare center providing nurturing early education programs. We are seeking a caring Childcare Worker to supervise and care for young children, plan engaging activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for early development. This position plays an important role in our day-to-day operations, and we are looking for someone who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and genuine care for the quality of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise children during play, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Monitor and document each child's developmental progress and behavior.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
  • Administer basic first aid and respond appropriately to minor injuries or illnesses.
  • Enforce classroom rules and positive behavior management techniques.
  • Prepare snacks and assist with mealtime routines as needed.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff to plan curriculum and special events.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; early childhood education coursework or CDA credential preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Excellent patience, nurturing demeanor, and communication skills.
  • Current CPR and first aid certification.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Physical stamina to actively engage with children throughout the day.
Work Environment:
You will work in a licensed childcare facility, actively engaging with children throughout the day in both structured and free-play settings. The role requires constant vigilance, patience, and creativity to keep children safe, engaged, and developmentally supported. Successful candidates will be comfortable adapting to a dynamic day-to-day routine, working both independently and as part of a coordinated team, and maintaining a professional, solutions-oriented attitude even when circumstances change unexpectedly.
