Role Purpose:
Preschool Teachers work closely with the Preschool Director to provide an excellent classical and Christian education founded upon a biblical worldview, which equips students to live purposefully and intelligently in service to God and others. Teachers maintain a safe and orderly classroom and fulfill Colorado childcare licensing requirements for supervision, ratios, health/safety, and documentation. Your Impact as a Preschool Teacher Integrates biblical truth across all subjects and disciplines. Demonstrates consistent application and implementation of classical pedagogy within the classroom, including poetry, chants, jingles, and songs. Collaborates through monthly meetings and seeks assistance and direction from the Preschool Director as needed. Understands preschool course scope, sequence, and materials, help teacher include curricular pacing and implementation. Establishes and maintains a well-organized classical classroom that follows the guidelines provided. Collaborates with colleagues, ensuring alignment and consistency in pacing, behavior systems, projects and special events within the preschool. Informs and educates the parents in the classical Christian education model as opportunities arise. Cultivate relationships with students, models, and assist students through the peacemaking process as needed. Trains students in character, manners and respect, organization, management, and care of property. Establishes manageable class routines to accomplish basic tasks, such as taking attendance, daily cleaning schedules, materials storage, and distribution. Fully embraces, trains, implements, and enforces the published behavioral expectations inside and outside of the classroom at all times. Collaborate with the Preschool Director when handling student struggles and concerns regarding discipline. Consults with the Preschool Director regarding struggling students; brainstorms possible classroom interventions, implements recommended next steps for progress. Works with the Preschool Director to ensure proper documentation of student and parent concerns. Guides and effectively utilize Versatile teacher and/or Teacher Assistant in order to enhance instruction. Employs a variety of techniques to measure a student's progress. Maintains active supervision at all times and supports compliance with Colorado licensing requirements, including rations, supervision, attendance support, and health/safety procedures. Follows all published academy policies found in the Employee Handbook and Parent/Student Handbook. Follows Colorado Office of Early Childhood Rules and Regulations according to the preschool center. Follows the Douglas County Health Authority preschool licensing requirements. Completes required trainings and supports
ECPC/PDIS
credential verification per school policy. Furthermore, you will also: Contribute to all-school events such as Open House, art night, and Parent-Teacher Conferences. Early Childhood Educators:
Spiritually vibrant Christian displaying Christ-centered servant leadership that integrates faith and work in a spirit of humility. Meets Colorado Early Childhood Teacher qualification pathways; ECPC Level 2 (or higher) preferred OR willingness to obtain within the school's credentialing timeline. Experience teaching or supporting young learners in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred. Classical Christian Education experience preferred. Models a spirit of lifelong learning and embrace opportunities for growth, reflection, and development. Brings an excellent, thoughtful, and approachable communication style, both in writing and verbal. Values the meaningful work of shaping young hearts and minds through consistent, joyful, and patient engagement. Works alongside colleagues with a spirit of cooperation and a shared commitment to educational excellence.
