Academy Director / Assistant Director Summary The Substitute Teacher provides flexible classroom support across both Kiddie Academy of Parker and Lone Tree locations. This role assists in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, while ensuring compliance with Colorado Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing regulations. Key Responsibilities Step into classrooms as needed (infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K) Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all children Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, and activities Follow lesson plans or assist with age-appropriate activities Maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and team dynamics Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Communicate effectively with staff and leadership at both locations Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment Qualifications (Colorado Requirements) Must be at least 18 years of age Must complete PDIS trainings 2+ years of verifiable experience with children Flexible availability and reliable transportation between both locations Experience with multiple age groups preferred Required Certifications CPR & First Aid (Infant/Child) certification (or willingness to obtain) Universal Precautions training Background check and fingerprinting per Colorado regulations Skills & Competencies Flexibility and adaptability Strong teamwork and communication skills Positive, nurturing attitude with children Ability to quickly build rapport with staff and children Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Frequent movement, including bending, sitting, and active play Ability to respond quickly to children's needs
