  • DEEDS Credentialed Teacher Required Infant/Toddler CDA Required Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and highly attentive Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
The ideal candidate will create a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 11 months, supporting their physical, emotional, and early cognitive growth. This role involves implementing individualized care routines, facilitating sensory‑rich learning experiences, and fostering secure attachments through consistent, nurturing interactions. The Infant Teacher will ensure a safe, calm, and engaging classroom atmosphere while partnering with families and maintaining compliance with all licensing and health standards. Responsibilities Provide responsive, individualized care including feeding, diapering, soothing, and safe sleep routines Implement developmentally appropriate activities that support sensory exploration, early language, motor development, and social‑emotional growth Maintain a predictable daily routine that balances caregiving, play, and individualized attention Create and maintain a calm, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Prepare and rotate age‑appropriate materials, sensory experiences, and floor‑time activities Observe and document developmental milestones, emerging skills, and individual needs Maintain accurate records for attendance, diapering, feeding, and incident reports Follow all Delaware licensing regulations, safe sleep guidelines, and center policies Communicate daily with families through written and verbal updates Collaborate with co‑teachers to ensure consistent caregiving practices and classroom management Uphold the center's Christian values through gentle language, modeling kindness, and integrating faith naturally throughout the day Qualifications DEEDS Credentialed Teacher (required) Infant/Toddler CDA (required) College Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting Strong understanding of infant development, responsive caregiving, and early learning best practices Ability to lift, carry, and safely support infants throughout the day Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow all health, safety, and licensing standards Key Skills Responsive caregiving and relationship‑based teaching Knowledge of infant cues, temperament, and developmental stages Classroom organization and environmental setup for infants Safe sleep, sanitation, and health/safety compliance Observation, documentation, and family communication Ability to create calm, predictable routines Professionalism, patience, and emotional regulation in a fast‑paced environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials Paid training and professional development CDA renewal support Benefits available after probationary period Join us in making a difference in the lives of young learners as we cultivate their love for learning and prepare them for future success!
