The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, with expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with children across various developmental stages. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans, supporting children's social and emotional growth, and ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to support holistic childhood development. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and active participation among children. Manage classroom activities effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Collaborate with families, specialists in special education, and early intervention providers to support individual learning needs and promote child welfare. Conduct assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and observational methods to tailor instructional strategies accordingly. Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate tutoring techniques, literacy activities, and hands-on learning experiences. Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, and behavior while ensuring compliance with childcare regulations. Promote inclusive practices that accommodate diverse learning styles and special needs within the classroom setting. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development tools including Montessori methods and literacy education frameworks. Experience with classroom experience involving toddlers care, preschool activities, and early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and external specialists. Ability to plan lessons aligned with educational standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking. Certification through the state of Delaware or degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred; relevant training in special education or child welfare is advantageous.
