GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Assistant to support our preschool team in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys working closely with children to support their growth, learning, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson plans Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times Support children with daily routines, including meals, nap time, and hygiene Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, play, and creative projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Help manage behavior using positive guidance techniques Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as needed Observe and report any concerns regarding children's development or behavior
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred Basic knowledge of early childhood development is a plus CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass background check and any required screenings Bilingual in
English and Spanish Skills & Competencies:
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliability and punctuality Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with children
Work Environment:
Preschool or daycare setting May require standing, bending, and active movement throughout the day Full-time and part-time positions available
