Job Description
Broward Christian Academy is a private, Christian preschool located in Davie, FL. Now Hiring for VPK/Preschool Teacher & VPK Substitute Teachers . We are looking for fun, loving, and energetic candidates who want to provide a high level of care and education to those who attend our school. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include biblical worldview, knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. - Must possess DCF Hrs. & VPK Teacher Credentialing by State of Florida Standards
- Able to develop lesson plans and have a excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Able to be flexible in assignment and work hours
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively to children, parents and other teachers
- Able to plan and implement age appropriate activities
- Able to work as a team
- Must maintain a clean and organized classroom
- This position requires effective decision making skills.
Essential Qualifications:
- Heart for God and a Christ-like attitude
- Nurturing teaching style
- Ability to care for and instruct children up to 5 years of age.
- Attend monthly meetings, professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Collaborate with other educators.
- Assist in the supervision of all students in the classroom.
- Adheres to all Health and Safety Standards
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to walk in and around the facility
- Must be punctual and reliable with assigned hours
- Participation in and attendance at school events and weekly chapel activities.
