Preschool nature-based guide

Job Summary We are looking for a Nature-Based Guide for 1-3 preschoolers, where your passion for early childhood education and the outdoors will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and connect with the natural world through art, movement, animals and hands-on activities. In this dynamic role, you will facilitate engaging outdoor and nature-based activities that foster curiosity, environmental stewardship, and developmental growth. Your energetic approach will create a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive through hands-on experiences in nature. Hours and schedule are flexible and can work around your needs. Responsibilities Support children in outdoor exploration activities that promote curiosity about plants, animals, and ecosystems Develop and implement age-appropriate, nature-based curriculum that supports early childhood development and environmental awareness Ensure safety during all outdoor activities Proactively direct behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Incorporate elements of play, introductory academics and physical activity Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Support children's social-emotional growth through deep presence, responsiveness, kindness and mutual respect Required skills Prior experience working with children in settings such as babysitting, camp, sports coaching, etc. Ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is a plus Experience with special education needs or behavior management strategies is a plus First aid and CPR training is a plus This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about nurturing young minds through nature-based learning. Pay:
