About Us We are a nurturing and innovative early childhood education center committed to providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Position Summary The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a high-quality educational program for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, demonstrates strong classroom leadership, and fosters positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress and communicate effectively with families.
  • Maintain accurate student records and classroom documentation.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and center policies.
  • Build positive partnerships with parents through regular communication, conferences, and family engagement activities.
  • Manage classroom routines and promote positive behavior guidance strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications Required:
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field; or equivalent qualifications as permitted by Florida regulations.
  • Florida DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training completed (or ability to complete within required timeframe).
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Florida Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
  • Experience in accredited early childhood programs.
