Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children of various ages. In this role, you will create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes growth, learning, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during play, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor time to ensure safety and enjoyment. Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in line with early childhood education standards. Monitor children's behavior using effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and resolve conflicts calmly. Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and hygiene to support children's health and well-being. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns that arise. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by following health and safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support inclusive care for children with disabilities or special needs. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure quick response during emergencies. Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children is essential; familiarity with classroom experience is a plus. Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively through positive reinforcement strategies. Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills who can build trusting relationships with children and families.
