In this vibrant role, you will create engaging educational experiences for children across various age groups, fostering their curiosity, development, and love for learning. Your energy and passion will help build a positive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore new ideas. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and childcare. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play, arts, and hands-on activities Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and social-emotional growth Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean, safe space Apply basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or summer camps Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Compassionate caregiving attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members, parents, and children in a lively environment Join us this summer to make a lasting difference in children's lives!
