The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging activities and structured learning experiences. Duties An Active FCCPC/CDA or higher Must have or be willing to complete required 15 hours of VPK Emergent Literacy training Create and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards and the school's curriculum Educate children on various subjects, including basic math concepts, language skills, and social interactions. Observe, assess, and document each child's growth and development through regular observations and portfolio entries. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Create a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and curiosity. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Maintain daily routines and structure to help children thrive in a predictable learning environment. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and trainings to stay current on best practices in early childhood education Requirements Obtain DCF 40 hour childcare staff credential or be willing to complete within 90 days of employment Experience working in preschool settings or private schools is highly desirable. Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices is essential. Previous experience in special education or early intervention programs is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
