- Full-time Job description: Our mission at Fun Time Early Childhood Academy is to provide affordable, high-quality early learning, for underserved children from working families, preparing them for kindergarten and beyond.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver lessons in the assigned subject area
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and instructional materials
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall well-being of students
- Provide individualized instruction or tutoring to students who need additional support
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year teaching pre-kindergarten. Prior VPK instruction strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
- Adaptability to meet the individual needs of students
