Job Description
Coronado Community United Methodist Church has been a welcoming spiritual home since 1904, serving a vibrant community on the barrier island. Our modern campus hosts a variety of activities, including a thriving day school that nurtures young minds and hearts. We are seeking an energetic and passionate Preschool Teacher to inspire and educate our youngest learners. In this role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social skills, and physical activity. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape positive experiences for children during their foundational years. Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that support childhood development, literacy education, and early intervention strategies. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Facilitate age-appropriate lessons. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to the child. Support toddlers and preschoolers with daycare routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times. Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential, but not required. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing is preferred, but not required. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Pay:
$14.50 - $15.00 per hourBenefits:
