WE ARE HIRING FOR THE 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR!

//info.flclearinghouse.com Overview The Montessori School of Pensacola is hiring for 2 extended care teachers to join our Entry and Primary Extended Care team. We provide children ages 18 months through 6 years a wide range of meaningful experiences that empower them to explore their world while gradually expanding their knowledge and skills. We watch them grow in confidence and self-direction. Extended care teachers ensure that age-appropriate and engaging activities are happening every day!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide kind, creative, and positive experiences for our students Observe children's interests and work with co-workers to develop creative ideas for engaging activities Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being Communicate with parents on a daily basis Perform daily classroom maintenance duties, such as food preparation and documentation requirements
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be able to work the following for Primary (3-6 year old) Monday-Thursday from 2:00 pm
  • 5:30 pm and Friday from 10:30 am
  • 5:30 pm (or) for Entry (18 months
  • 3 years old) Monday
  • Thursday from 2:15
  • 5:30 pm and Friday from 11:30
  • 5:30 pm Must be able to pass federal and state background screens Must be able to pass drug screen DCF training course must be initiated within first 30 days, and completed before or within 6 months after hire Is able to easily bend, squat, lift, run, climb, sit on floor for extended periods and carry up to 50 pounds Willing to align teaching style with Montessori Principles Must be flexible during planning and extended break periods
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for working with children and families in partnership Appreciates and responds positively to guidance and feedback from team members Willingness to commit to the school for a full year Is reliable, committed, energetic, patient, and detail-oriented Independent, creative, fun-loving and kind Montessori and/or Early Childhood training a plus Additional education a plus

From $16.10 per hour
