Essential Functions Responsible for the safety of all children Actively engaged in the learning of children Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans Provide direct support to fellow staff members Ensure that classrooms are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Serve as a role model to the children in the group through appearance and actions Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe , clean and inviting Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and families Keep the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events and family meetings as requested Job Requirements and Qualifications A love for children High School Diploma Pass a local and FBI background check Experience working with children between the ages of birth to four years, and a passion for working with this age group Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong organizational skills Must be able to actively participating in the program while ensuring the health and safety regulations are met or exceeded A desire to further your knowledge and education in the Early Childhood field Completion of Department of Children and Families 45 childcare training hours Department of Children and Families Staff Credentials is preferred but not mandatory.
