Job Summary:
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Teacher, where you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing young minds and creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children from infancy through preschool. Duties:
Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic development. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies, promoting respect, cooperation, and independence among children. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and create personalized learning plans that support early intervention and special education needs. Oversee lesson planning and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring additional support in childhood development or special education. Maintain accurate records of child welfare, attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies. Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers to ensure effective classroom management and delivery of quality childcare services.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting with classroom management expertise. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, literacy education, and Montessori techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and developmental activities suitable for toddlers and preschoolers. Certification or coursework in childhood development or early childhood education preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
