Assistant Montessori Guide - Toddler & Children's House (Ages 18 months-6 years) We are seeking a nurturing, attentive, and collaborative Assistant Montessori Guides to support our Toddler and Children's House communities. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Guide to help maintain a calm, orderly, and prepared environment that fosters independence, concentration, and respect for each child's natural development. The Assistant Guide plays a key role in supporting the daily rhythm of the classroom and helping each child engage meaningfully with the environment.

Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a prepared environment that is beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate. Assist in guiding children toward independence, coordination, concentration, and order . Observe children with care and intention, supporting their individual developmental needs. Redirect behavior with respect, modeling grace and courtesy and peaceful conflict resolution. Support children in practical life activities , care of self, care of the environment, and social interactions. Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and completeness of classroom materials. Assist with daily routines including arrival, transitions, meals/snacks, toileting (especially in Toddler environments), rest time, and outdoor work. Protect uninterrupted work cycles by supporting children's engagement and minimizing disruptions. Collaborate closely with the Lead Guide and classroom team to ensure consistency and alignment with Montessori principles. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Requirements:

Experience working with young children (18 months-6 years). A genuine respect for and interest in Montessori philosophy and child development . Calm, patient, and observant demeanor. Ability to follow the guidance of the Lead Guide and work collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills and professionalism with children, colleagues, and families. Physical ability to support a Toddler/Casa environment (e.g., sitting on the floor, lifting small children when necessary). First aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Montessori Assistant training or certification is a plus. Background in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus.
