Preschool Teacher (Enrichment & Extended Day)

Part-Time Preschool Teacher (Enrichment & Extended Day) We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable part-time teacher to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM - 4:30

PM Start Date:

Position begins with pre-planning week on Thursday, July 30.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead enrichment activities several days each week, including music, art, science, and Spanish Utilize a simple, easy-to-follow Spanish curriculum provided by the school Create fun, hands-on experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and early problem-solving skills Supervise and engage with children ages 2-5 in a safe, nurturing environment Support classroom routines and transitions throughout the afternoon Work in our extended day program, providing a positive and structured end to each child's day Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistency and quality care

What We Offer:

Paid planning time for enrichment activities Paid time off, including holidays, Thanksgiving break (1 week), Christmas break (2 weeks), and Spring Break (1 week) Supportive team environment Opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and families

Compensation:

$16 - $17 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications:

Must have or be willing to obtain DCF 45-hour certification Must have or be willing to obtain CPR & First Aid certification Experience working with young children preferred Interest or experience in enrichment activities (music, art, science, Spanish, or similar) for early childhood Warm, patient, and reliable personality Ability to manage a classroom environment with multiple age groups Strong communication and teamwork skills If you enjoy making learning fun, creative, and meaningful for young children, we'd love to hear from you.
