Innovation Academy , is an IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) candidate school that fosters global-minded, inquiry-driven learning . Our VPK program blends Florida Early Learning Standards with the IB PYP framework to create a nurturing, play-based, and academically enriching environment . QUALIFICATIONS
(1) Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution. (2) Certified by the State of Florida in appropriate area (Elementary Education required) (3) ESE Certification, Reading Certification/Endorsement preferred (4) ESOL endorsement preferred
REPORTS TO
Head of School Elementary Teacher Job Description As an elementary teacher at IASRQ , you will inspire young learners by creating engaging, meaningful lessons that support student growth and align with our mission. You'll foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to succeed. Key Responsibilities• Teaching & Lesson Planning Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with state standards and school goals. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to support diverse learning needs. Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning. Classroom Management & Student Support Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Use effective behavior management techniques to support student success. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to guide learning. Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, and other student support programs. Assessment & Data-Driven Instruction Use various assessment tools to measure student growth and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Ensure a secure and supportive testing environment. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to foster student success. Communicate regularly with families about student progress. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Professionalism & School Engagement Uphold ethical and professional conduct at all times. Continue growing professionally through training and self-reflection. Support school-wide initiatives, improvement plans, and community engagement efforts. •Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support student success and school initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the school's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Head of School.
