In this pivotal role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of infants. Your expertise will help create a safe, engaging, and educational space where young children can thrive physically, emotionally, and cognitively. As a leader in our program, you will collaborate with families and staff to ensure the highest standards of childcare and early education are met, inspiring a love for learning from the very beginning. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills. Lead daily classroom activities focused on toddler care, behavior management, and classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment. Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where applicable to tailor instruction effectively. Collaborate with families to communicate developmental milestones, address concerns related to special education or early intervention needs, and foster strong partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality childcare and classroom experience. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to child welfare standards and daycare regulations. Incorporate diverse teaching methods including Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences across subjects such as math, physical education, and literacy. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities tailored for infants and toddlers. Strong background in childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management practices. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Prior classroom experience in private schools or licensed daycare centers is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment is advantageous.
