Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire a love of learning and foster developmental growth in children. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead engaging classroom activities, develop innovative curricula, and create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be a vital part of shaping the educational journey of preschoolers, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally from their earliest years. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and faith-based methods. Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and social interaction among preschool children. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs related to early intervention or special education. Support children's emotional well-being by fostering self-regulation skills and promoting child welfare practices. Oversee classroom management tasks such as maintaining a clean, safe space and organizing materials for effective instruction. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction to individual learning needs. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, childcare best practices, and teaching physical education. Supervise assistant teachers or interns while providing mentorship in curriculum development and classroom management strategies. Implement inclusive teaching strategies that support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool settings; prior classroom experience is essential. 45-Hour DCF courses including SR courses. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and faith-based methods. Familiarity with assessment tools for early learners. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering an engaging learning environment. Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is preferred. Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials
CDA, FCCPC, ECPC

Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
