We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to lead a classroom with excellence, creativity, and heart. Position Overview The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and leading a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment for young learners. This role includes planning developmentally appropriate lessons, managing classroom routines, guiding behavior positively, building strong family relationships, and helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, compassionate, and committed to early childhood excellence. Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Leadership & Instruction Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards Create engaging curriculum experiences using play-based learning, hands-on exploration, Montessori-inspired methods, and structured instruction Foster growth in literacy, language, math readiness, science discovery, creative arts, and physical development Lead daily classroom routines, transitions, centers, circle time, meals, rest periods, and outdoor play Adapt lessons to meet the developmental needs of individual learners Encourage independence, confidence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships Child Development & Behavior Support Promote children's social-emotional growth through nurturing guidance and relationship-building Use positive classroom management and redirection strategies with consistency and patience Observe developmental progress and identify areas needing additional support or intervention Support children with varying learning needs, including those needing individualized attention or early intervention strategies Family Communication & Documentation Build strong partnerships with families through respectful and consistent communication Share progress updates, milestones, concerns, and classroom highlights Maintain accurate records including attendance, assessments, daily notes, and developmental observations Prepare for parent conferences and child progress discussions as needed Safety, Licensing & Operations Ensure active supervision of children at all times indoors and outdoors Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized classroom environment Follow all state licensing standards, health regulations, and child welfare policies Work collaboratively with directors and team members to support center success QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, childcare, or educational setting Strong understanding of child development and classroom management Ability to lead a classroom with confidence, warmth, and structure Excellent communication skills with parents, children, and coworkers Successfully pass background screening in accordance with state regulations Genuine love for children and passion for education CDA, FCCPC, Associate Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education 45 Hours Child Care Training with passed exams CPR / First Aid Certification Preferred (or Willingness to Obtain) Experience with special needs, inclusion classrooms, or individualized supports 5 Hours Early Literacy for Birth-3 or willingness to obtain Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, sit on floor level, and actively engage with children Work indoors and outdoors daily Maintain visual and physical supervision of children throughout shift Schedule Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts available Full-Time and Part-Time openings Benefits Employee childcare discount Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement opportunities Leadership growth opportunities Positive, faith-centered, family-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a lasting impact in children's lives Why Join Unique Blessings?
