From $14.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and structured Montessori environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love of learning among young children. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori-based lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and practical life skills. Support classroom management by maintaining a calm, organized environment conducive to learning and exploration. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development, fine motor skills, and cognitive growth. Help with daily routines such as snack time, restroom breaks, and outdoor play to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day. Observe and document individual student progress, communicating insights to the lead teacher for curriculum adjustments. Support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by implementing tailored behavior management strategies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, including Montessori teaching tools and educational resources. Foster positive communication with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning community. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of Montessori philosophy and methods is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience with lesson planning across literacy education, math, and curriculum development tailored for preschoolers. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and working with children with special needs or disabilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with parents. Ability to manage classroom routines confidently while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
