Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher and ignite a lifelong love of learning in young children! In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be instrumental in guiding children through their earliest educational experiences, ensuring they develop essential cognitive, motor, and social skills in a safe and joyful setting. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young minds to explore, discover, and thrive every day. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Design lesson plans that promote active learning, creativity, and critical thinking tailored to the developmental stages of preschool children. Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavior management and social interaction among students. Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations, standardized testing when appropriate, and informal evaluations to tailor instruction effectively. Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists to ensure inclusive learning experiences. Manage classroom routines efficiently to foster independence while maintaining safety standards in childcare and daycare environments. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, and any behavioral or educational concerns. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress reports, incident reports, and other documentation necessary for compliance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development and classroom management. Promote child welfare by ensuring a safe environment that adheres to all licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet developmental milestones while incorporating standardized testing where applicable. Experience working with children who have special needs or require additional support is preferred. Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field; Montessori certification is a plus. Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster an inclusive environment conducive to learning and growth. Commitment to child welfare standards and maintaining a safe childcare environment compliant with licensing requirements.
