Experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 3-5) in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting. Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint screening. Certifications Often Required CPR and First Aid certification. Current immunization records and any state-required health clearances. Key Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with classroom instruction and activities. Work with individual children and small groups on literacy, math, language, and social-emotional skills. Supervise children in the classroom, playground, meals, rest time, and field trips. Help prepare instructional materials, bulletin boards, and classroom displays. Assist children with daily routines such as handwashing, toileting, and snack times. Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment.
