We are building a passionate team of early childhood educators committed to warm, responsive, and developmentally rich care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. About the Role We are hiring full-time Preschool and Pre-K Lead Teachers for children ages 3 to 5 years. You will deliver a structured, joyful curriculum that builds early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills aligned to Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). This is a leadership role — you will own your classroom culture and mentor an assistant teacher. Responsibilities Plan and deliver weekly lesson plans aligned to Georgia GELDS standards Lead circle time, small-group instruction, and learning center rotations daily Implement structured literacy and phonics instruction (required per July 2025 Georgia mandate) Teach early math concepts: counting, patterns, shapes, measurement, and number sense Complete written developmental assessments and share with families each semester Administer Kindergarten Readiness Assessments (KRA) for Pre-K students Conduct kindergarten transition planning conversations with Pre-K families Supervise and mentor classroom assistant teacher(s) Maintain portfolio documentation and anecdotal observations for each child Partner with speech and special education support services as needed Requirements (Georgia DECAL mandated) Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass

comprehensive background check (GBI + FBI fingerprint, sex offender registry, child abuse registry) before any child contact Current CPR and First Aid certification — required before start date High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or ECE degree required for Lead Teacher Required training in evidence-based literacy instruction (effective July 1, 2025) DECAL 10-hour Health and Safety Orientation must be completed within 90 days of hire Minimum 10 hours annual continuing education Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development 2+ years as lead teacher in a licensed preschool or Pre-K classroom Strong knowledge of GELDS and play-based curriculum frameworks Experience with developmental documentation, family conferences, and portfolio creation Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Hindi a plus Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday Center hours: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM (shift schedules to be confirmed) Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials Benefits package available To Apply Send your resume, credentials held, and a brief note about which classroom (Preschool or Pre-K) is your strongest fit to with the subject line: Preschool and Pre-K Teacher Application Woodbridge Academy is an equal opportunity employer.
