Pre-K Teacher

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, engaging, and nurturing Early Childhood Instructor to lead a small group of students ranging from Pre-K through 1st grade. This role is ideal for an educator who values creativity, hands-on learning, and whole-child development. You will create a dynamic learning environment that blends core academics with social-emotional growth, interactive activities, and project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate lessons using project-based learning strategies
• Teach foundational academic subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and critical thinking.
• Lead daily circle time, covering concepts such as: o Days of the week and months of the year o Seasons and weather o Colors, shapes, and patterns o Basic time-telling and calendar skills
• Incorporate social and emotional learning (SEL) into daily instruction (sharing, communication, self-awareness, teamwork)
• Support development of fine motor skills through hands-on activities (cutting, writing, crafting, building, etc.)
• Guide students in public speaking and confidence-building through activities like show-and-tell
• Conduct weekly one-on-one student assessments to track progress and identify growth areas
• Develop and implement a monthly curriculum plan aligned with group learning goals and developmental levels
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress when needed

Qualifications:

• Background in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (required)
• Experience working with young children (Pre-K through early elementary)
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning milestones
• Ability to create engaging, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Patient, creative, and enthusiastic personality

Preferred Qualities:

• Experience with project-based or experiential learning models
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and individualized learning approaches

Pay:

$27.00 - $55.00 per hour
