Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated, experienced and engaging Nursery / Toddler room Worker. At this center we do not simply baby sit children. We strive to develop babies in a way that will create a capacity to learn and a love to do so each day! A strong work ethic, aptitude for creativity, and an understanding of how to see the "Big Picture" while continuing to focus on your role to bring the director's vision to reality, is who we will be excited to meet! Duties Greet parents and babies with a kind, welcoming smile each morning and afternoon. Use gentle handling to check and change baby diapers and clothes when needed. Utilize State required procedures for changing diapers and hand washing of teachers and babies. Use best practices for preventing injuries in the nursery. Read story books to infants using various voices and animal sounds every day. Diligently fill out infant report with times of diaper changes, feedings, name of story books, times of naps etc. Experience Successfully cared for multiple infants each day in a daycare center for 1 year or longer. Successfully completed CPR/First Aid training or willing to do so. Has worked well in a team environment and has positively contributed to meeting the goal of the director or supervisor of the team. Has a consistently positive attitude at work and uses kind encouraging words as well as tones with each child, coworkers and supervisor. Demonstrates ability to deescalate classroom conflicts. Demonstrates patience with children who need additional support understanding and managing their emotions. Consistently reports to work early. (5-10 minutes before your shift begins) This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early childhood education college student or first year graduate. We are looking for a candidate that has chosen developing children ages 0 - 5 years as a career.

From $13.50 per hour
