As a Georgia Pre‑K Lead Teacher, you'll guide our scholars through a state‑funded kindergarten‑readiness program while upholding Todd U's nurturing, structured culture. What You'll Do Create a positive learning environment: Greet children and families warmly each morning; engage students from the moment they enter and ensure belongings are labeled and stored properly. Implement Georgia Pre‑K curriculum: Follow daily lesson plans and posted schedules precisely, preparing activities in advance and adjusting instruction for small‑group and individual needs. Model high standards of care and professionalism: Maintain ratio counts, supervise transitions, and enforce health and safety protocols (hand washing, meal service, and cleanliness).
Engage parents:
Use the Brightwheel app and other tools to share photos, videos, and updates; respond promptly to parent questions; and schedule conferences to discuss progress.
Collaborate with your team:
Work closely with assistant teachers to divide duties, coach and mentor others, and support a cohesive, organized classroom environment. Keep student work organized and file away small‑group/intervention work as outlined in the Pre‑K policies. Support Todd U's events: Participate in family nights, open houses, community service projects, and other events that strengthen our school‑family partnerships. Qualifications & Credentials Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with Georgia teacher certification (T4 or higher). At minimum, candidates must hold an associate's degree and current Georgia
PDS/DECAL
Pre‑K credential. 5+ years' experience working with preschool or Pre‑K children and proven classroom management skills. Proficiency in lesson planning, child assessment, and family communication. CPR/First‑Aid certification and completion (or willingness to complete) all required BFTS trainings. Compensation & Benefits Pay:
Competitive Georgia Pre‑K salary based on credentials, certification level, and verified years of experience; estimated annual range is $45 000-$65 000. Paid training beginning two weeks before the school year and ongoing professional development throughout the year.
