After School Care Leader

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate After School Care Leader to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times. Coordinate with parents, teachers, and other staff to support each child's individual needs and progress. Provide basic first aid when necessary, following proper health and safety protocols. Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusion among children. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, staff, and children. Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun and structured environment.
