Job Description

As We Grow Childcare & Preschool has an opening for a Preschool Lead Teacher! As We Grow Childcare & Preschool is a independent and locally owned child care center, the owner/director are on site daily. Preschool Lead Teacher will develop and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based, and creative curricula to foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Responsibilities include supervising children for safety, assessing individual progress, maintaining a clean and engaging classroom, and fostering positive relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Curriculum Development & Instruction:
Design and execute weekly lesson plans focused on child-centered education. Activities often cover literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts, while fostering creativity and social-emotional skills.
Classroom Management:
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment, including managing routines like snack times, naps, and outdoor play.
Observation & Assessment:
Monitor student progress through daily documentation to identify developmental milestones or areas needing support.
Communication & Family Engagement:
Provide regular updates to parents regarding child progress and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
Team Leadership:
Guide assistant teachers or floaters, fostering a team-teaching approach.
What we are looking for:
Education:
A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Lead Teacher experience in Preschool Setting.
Experience:
Previous experience working with young children in a lead role.
Certifications:
CPR, First Aid, and state-mandated child care certifications.

High patience, creativity, and a strong passion for child development.
Job Types:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
