Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a caring, organized, and energetic Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, skilled in classroom management, and committed to supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Lead teachers provide mentoring to their assistant teachers/support staff and maintain a smooth daily classroom routine. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment Support children's emotional, social, and academic development Maintain daily classroom schedules and routines Observe and assess student progress and communicate with families regularly Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom Maintain clean, organized, and engaging learning spaces Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers on curriculum and program goals • Follow

rules and IDPH guidelines and school policies Qualifications High School Diploma/GED CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Must be 19 years of age or older Per DCFS CPR and First Aid certification preferred Previous daycare experience preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Knowledge of child development and early learning standards Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor with children Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
